Shoulder & Knee Injuries
A Shoulder or Knee Injury Affects Much More Than Just Your Arm or Leg
Shoulder and knee injuries can be particularly difficult in terms of recovery and healing. Often, these types of injuries end-up taking a toll and injuring other body parts as your body must compensate for not being able to properly use the affected arm or leg. Knee and shoulder injuries can be especially complicated and devastating as arthritis can result from joint injuries. To a worker who must rely on standing and using his or her arms at work, the disability caused by a shoulder or knee injury can be long lasting or permanent.
More importantly, knee and shoulder injuries often require immediate attention. While at first, such a injury may appear to be a sprain, the injury can worsen and may turn out to be much more serious. Typically, the knee and shoulder injuries occur from falls, repetitive motion, lifting, stooping and bending. We also find that many workers who return to work aggravate or make worse their knee and/or shoulder injuries. It is our experience that many shoulder and knee surgeries need to be re-performed. This makes it all the more important to ensure that you are able to see a doctor of your choice instead of the company doctor, if possible. We are here to help you.
